The Hewitt Fertility Centre is one of Britain’s largest Reproductive Medicine units providing a comprehensive service to both NHS and fee paying patients.

The Hewitt Fertility Centre is wholly committed to providing a high quality service to patients who attend the centre, for a range of fertility related investigations and treatments.

An opportunity has arisen within The Hewitt Fertility Centre at Liverpool for a Clinical PA, who is a bright, committed, and enthusiastic individual. You would be working within a rapidly developing service and should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills. A background in an administration role including PA skills is essential.

The post holder will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to designated clinical teams as described as receiving support in the Service Specification.

Undertaking a range of duties including diary management, clinical typing, administrative support to consultants and other staff members within the Hewitt Centre, dealing with clinic correspondence, letters and reports as required, document creation, leave management, email management as agreed. The post holder will be a key interface for patient enquiries, correspondence and for supporting clinicians’ in managing clinical pathways including results and information requests, undertake filing in Patient Records and the Hewitt Centre in accordance with the Trust Records Management Policy. The post holder will assist with telephone enquiries, filing and other associated administrative tasks.

Provide a professional clinical personal assistant service to an agreed set of clinicians. Provide a high-quality clinical typing service to consultants, clinicians, and other unit staff, utilizing copy typing to ensure accurate and timely documentation. Ensure all typing is accurate, including medical terminology and all personal, GP details are checked against patient notes and Digicare/Summary Care Record where necessary. Services to be provided include secretarial support to consultants, junior medical staff, nurses and ANPs. Where you are required to record data on any system, regardless of the type of media, you must ensure that is it up to date, and accurate. Working with the clinical staff to review admin in a timely manner. Receive, manage and action correspondence in liaison with the relevant clinician. Maintain an up to date electronic and paper office filing system appropriate to the relevant department and undertakes filing in patient records in accordance with the Trusts Records Management Policy and the filing responsibilities for each clinical area. Management of clinical correspondence and results returned to clinicians and appropriate filing. Handles patient records as appropriate and ensures appropriate tracking as per Records Management policies and procedures. See Job description for full details.
