1. International Student Recruitment & Education Consultancy
Supporting prospective international students seeking higher education opportunities in the United Kingdom through educational guidance, pathway awareness, student-support initiatives, and community integration support.
2. European Employment Consultancy & Workforce Development
Supporting individuals seeking employment opportunities across Europe through ethical recruitment awareness, candidate support, workforce coordination, employer engagement, and responsible employment pathways.
3. Retail Business Development & Community Integration Programme
Supporting independent convenience stores and off-licence retailers through business improvement initiatives, workforce development, customer engagement strategies, operational support, and community-focused business development programmes.
The Role
LankaUK Pathways Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Management Consultant & Business Analyst to support the planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of consultancy projects across all three service divisions.
The successful candidate will provide business analysis, operational support, project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and consultancy recommendations to improve business performance, workforce participation, community engagement, and organisational effectiveness.
The role requires an individual who can work across commercial, educational, employment, and community-focused environments while supporting culturally diverse stakeholders and socially vulnerable communities.
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesBusiness Consultancy, Analysis & Organisational Development
- Conduct business reviews, operational assessments, and consultancy analysis across company projects.
- Analyse operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency, growth, and sustainability.
- Prepare professional consultancy reports, business assessments, research findings, and recommendations.
- Support management with project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative information to support business decisions.
- Assist with organisational development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare stakeholder reports, project documentation, and operational recommendations.
International Student Recruitment & Education Consultancy Projects
- Support the development and delivery of international student recruitment initiatives.
- Analyse student needs, recruitment trends, and education pathway opportunities.
- Assist with student engagement activities, information sessions, and community outreach programmes.
- Support communication with prospective students, families, educational institutions, and community stakeholders.
- Provide cultural understanding relating to Tamil-speaking communities in the Northern and Eastern Provinces of Sri Lanka.
- Support student guidance activities relating to UK education pathways, accommodation, student welfare awareness, and community integration.
- Assist students in understanding the transition to studying and living in the United Kingdom.
European Employment Consultancy & Workforce Development Projects
- Support overseas employment consultancy projects for candidates seeking employment opportunities across Europe.
- Assist with candidate support, documentation guidance, interview preparation, and workforce coordination.
- Liaise with employers, recruitment partners, and workforce networks.
- Support ethical recruitment practices and responsible workforce-mobility programmes.
- Assist candidates throughout recruitment and transition processes.
- Support employment pathway projects involving European countries including Romania, Germany, Montenegro, and other destinations.
- Monitor workforce trends and provide relevant business intelligence.
Retail Business Development & Community Integration Projects
- Provide consultancy and operational support to independent convenience stores and off-licence retailers.
- Conduct business-performance reviews and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support retailers with customer service development, stock management, merchandising, waste reduction, and operational efficiency.
- Assist with staff onboarding, workforce coordination, training support, and communication improvement.
- Support retailers in developing sustainable business practices and stronger customer relationships.
- Assist migrant-owned and culturally diverse businesses facing operational or communication challenges.
Community Engagement, Social Inclusion & CSR Programmes
- Support the design and delivery of community engagement and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
- Help retailers develop positive relationships with local communities and community organisations.
- Support programmes promoting employment access, workforce participation, social inclusion, and community wellbeing.
- Work with refugee, asylum seeker, migrant, and socially vulnerable communities.
- Liaise with community groups, charities, employers, educational organisations, and local stakeholders.
- Apply social-work and community-development principles when supporting vulnerable groups.
- Promote inclusive, culturally sensitive, and community-focused approaches.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Enterprise Management, Management Consultancy, International Business, Human Resource Management, Education Management, Social Work, Community Development, Social Policy, or a related discipline.
- Experience in business analysis, consultancy, operational management, project coordination, research, workforce development, community engagement, or organisational support.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to prepare professional reports, assessments, and recommendations.
- Experience working with culturally diverse communities and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Requirements
- Master’s degree in Enterprise Management, Business Management, Social Work, Community Development, Social Policy, or a related field.
- Fluent communication skills in Tamil and English.
- Strong understanding of Tamil-speaking communities in the Northern and Eastern Provinces of Sri Lanka.
- Understanding of cultural, social, and community challenges affecting migrant and international student groups.
- Previous experience as an international student in the United Kingdom or experience supporting international students.
- Understanding of UK student visa processes and student transition challenges.
- Experience working in UK convenience stores or off-licence retail environments.
- Experience supporting refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, or socially vulnerable communities.
- Knowledge of workforce integration, employability support, and ethical recruitment practices.
- Experience in CSR initiatives, community projects, or stakeholder engagement.
- Understanding of European employment markets and international recruitment processes.
