Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventative dental care, supporting patient education, and assisting the dentist during procedures. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a friendly and supportive environment, contributing to patients' oral health and overall wellbeing. Applicants must hold relevant qualifications and be committed to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and patient care.

Responsibilities

Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, scaling, and polishing
Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD and medical imaging technology
Conduct oral health assessments and provide personalised advice on oral hygiene practices
Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and organisational standards
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
Ensure all clinical equipment is sterilised, maintained, and used in accordance with health and safety regulations
Keep the dental operatory clean, organised, and fully stocked with necessary supplies

Skills

Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral structures
Proficiency in using CAD software for dental design or imaging purposes (nice-to-have)
Experience with medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively
Attention to detail and organisational skills to manage patient records efficiently
Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
Knowledge of current dental hygiene practices and infection control protocols
