About Us

West Wales Holiday Cottages is a family-owned business based in Aberporth Ceredigion. We specialise in a variety of self-catering holiday properties within Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. We advertise properties on our website on behalf of individual owners, and we provide a central marketplace where people can find and book accommodation in beautiful West Wales.

As a small, dynamic team, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding service, building strong relationships, and ensuring every holiday is memorable.

We are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic, and proactive Business Assistant to join our team and support the smooth day-to-day running of the business.

The Role

This is a rewarding position that will provide administrative support across the business, working closely with our Guest & Owner Relations Team and Commercial Director.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent organisational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods. You will enjoy multitasking, solving problems, and building relationships with the team.

Key Responsibilities

Managing and responding to guest and property owner enquiries via email
Assisting with the management of shared inboxes, including owner and enquiry correspondence.
Providing administrative support to the Guest & Owner Relations Team.
Supporting the Commercial Director with day-to-day administrative tasks.
Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems.
Assisting with general office administration and business support tasks.
Ensuring a high level of customer service is always delivered.
Supporting colleagues across the business as required.

Skills and Experience

Essential

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
Intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
Confident using Google Workspace/G Suite, including Gmail and Microsoft.
Strong attention to detail.
Positive, proactive, and flexible approach to work.
Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Professional and friendly manner when dealing with customers.

Desirable

Previous experience in a customer service, administration, property management, lettings, hospitality, travel, or similar role.
Interest in property, tourism, hospitality, or holiday accommodation.
