Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our growing team here at The Courtyard Dental Care.

The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks.

Part time/full time - 4/5 days per week - Working hours - 8:45am - 5.15pm

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming patients and creating a friendly, professional first impression.
Managing a busy appointment diary and coordinating clinicians' schedules.
Handling telephone and email enquiries efficiently and professionally.
Explaining treatment plans, discussing costs, and arranging finance where applicable.
Processing payments, invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Managing patient records and ensuring GDPR compliance.
Liaising closely with dentists, hygienists, nurses, laboratories, and external providers.
Monitoring recalls and following up outstanding treatment plans.
Supporting practice targets by converting enquiries into booked appointments.
Handling patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice and resolving operational issues as they arise.
Ensuring reception and waiting areas remain welcoming, organised, and professional.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Confident, organised, and highly motivated.
A good communicator with a friendly and professional approach to patient care
Comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proactive and able to work independently while supporting the wider team.
Confident using dental software and Microsoft Office.

Requirements

Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.

Desirable

Experience in a private or mixed dental practice
Previous experience working within a dental practice
Experience using dental practice management software (e.g. SOE Exact, Dentally, R4, or similar)

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.80 per hour
