Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Operation Manager to oversee and optimise our warehouse activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, and implementing process improvements. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of logistics and supply chain management, and proficiency with various warehouse management systems. The Warehouse Operation Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining seamless shipping and receiving processes, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to lead a high-performing team within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee all warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfilment.
Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Manage transportation logistics using systems such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimise supply chain efficiency.
Utilise ERP systems such as AS400 to monitor stock levels, process orders, and generate reports.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational productivity and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Oversee the utilisation of forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
Analyse profit & loss statements related to warehouse activities to identify areas for financial optimisation.
Develop strategies for process optimisation through process improvement methodologies.
Collaborate with procurement, transportation teams, and other departments to streamline workflows.

Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics operations within a similar environment.
Supervising experience with a track record of leading teams successfully.
Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics processes, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Proficiency with ERP systems such as AS400 and familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS).
Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with inventory control practices.
Experience operating forklift trucks or other warehouse machinery is essential.
Ability to implement process improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with 3PL providers and third-party logistics coordination.
Analytical skills to interpret profit & loss data for operational decision-making.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments effectively.
