Full job description

As our Regional Engagement Officer in North Wales, you will work under the supervision and support of the Project Manager, with appropriate guidance and support to help you develop in the role. The main focus of the role will be helping vulnerable, fuel-poor households, particularly those in poor housing stock with insufficient heating by delivering a range of advice and support interventions that help address these issues.

You will be employing a holistic approach that recognises the links between fuel poverty, avoidable health inequalities and well-being, engaging directly with residents, providing a range of interventions that address the causes of fuel poverty and tackle associated health and well-being issues.

Working directly in community settings you will plan, source and secure community connections with other community groups to provide in person support at drop-in centres, organised events and support groups to deliver energy efficiency advice.

You will represent the organisation at events, conferences, community groups and meetings to strengthen relationships and promote a positive image, creating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners and community organisations.

In addition, you will support the delivery of awareness workshops, working with the Project Manager to design interactive sessions providing CO safety, energy efficiency and utility bills advice sessions, online and in person.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

· Arranging activities and events that advertise and promote the project.

· Delivering energy efficiency advice and awareness-raising sessions to individuals and groups.

· Implement engagement strategies across multiple local authority areas aligned with project aims and objectives to enhance Warm Wales’s reach.

· Ensure a high degree of accuracy of data entry and maintenance of records on the company’s case management system; other databases/spreadsheets and generate reports on a weekly/monthly basis or as required.

Essential requirements:

· Excellent communication skills: verbal and written

· Able to engage effectively with communities

· Display discretion and treat all client information as confidential

· Must be able to work using own initiative and as part of a team

· Ability to manage a high level of casework for various ongoing projects

· Knowledge of General Data Protection Regulations

· Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

· Prepared to travel with full UK driving licence and use of a car

· Five GCSEs including Mathematics and English Language or equivalent

· Level 3 in Energy Awareness or willingness to complete the qualification within probation period

The post requires satisfactory DBS check and appropriate references to be obtained by Warm Wales.
