Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with various tasks on-site to ensure the smooth progress of building projects. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, eager to learn, and capable of working in a dynamic environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience within the construction industry while contributing to high-quality projects.

Responsibilities

Assisting tradespeople with their tasks, including carrying materials and tools
Preparing construction sites by cleaning and organising work areas
Loading and unloading materials, equipment, and supplies
Assisting with the assembly and dismantling of temporary structures such as scaffolding or fencing
Maintaining health and safety standards at all times by following protocols and wearing appropriate PPE
Supporting the transportation of materials around the site using manual handling techniques
Performing general site maintenance, including waste disposal and ensuring pathways are clear
Adhering to project schedules and instructions from supervisors to meet deadlines

Qualifications

Previous experience in construction or labouring roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects safely
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability are essential qualities
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks as required
Valid UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
