Full job description

Two Magpies Bakery is currently looking to recruit a Hygiene Operative to join our back of house teams within our bakery unit. We are looking for someone that will help us coordinate our production unit, ensure deliveries are sorted & maintain a clean and tidy kitchen area.

Day to day responsibilities include:

- Carrying out opening & closing checks for KP area

- First KP on shift cleans floor of entire unit & last KP on shift cleans floor of the entire unit

- Maintaining the food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators.

- Receiving deliveries, notifying relevant management & recording the temperature for chilled & frozen goods

- Maintaining the KP area, keeping on top of all washing up

- Assisting drivers with cleaning of delivery trays

- Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of appropriately

- Always maintaining hygiene standards throughout the unit

- Follow instructions from senior team members such as team Leaders, Heads of Departments & BOH Manager

- Ensuring that HACCP logbooks are filled in & necessary tasks are carried out daily.

- General maintenance jobs around the site (painting ect)

- Deep cleaning jobs ie weekly/monthly cleaning schedule tasks

- Stock rotating fridges & freezer

- Assisting drivers with bagging up of frozen stock.

- Occasional driving duties may be required, such as internal stock transfers or supporting operational needs.

In a busy environment, this role is crucial in order to help the team run efficiently & effectively.

The role is full time, 42.5 hours per week and offer 2 consecutive days off. 28 days holiday per year.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £29,325.00 per year
