Carer / Support Worker – Personal Care & Domestic Support

IMMEDIATE START!!!

Are you a compassionate and dependable carer who enjoys helping people maintain their daily routines and home environment? We are seeking dedicated Self Employed Carers to assist elderly clients with personal care, medication management and household tasks.

We currently have a high demand for support in these areas, with a number of clients requiring assistance. This is a great opportunity for carers looking for consistent work with a mix of morning and flexible shifts.

1. BR5 (Orpington): Every Mon, Wed & Fri at 9am. Thursday 8pm. Supporting a lovely lady. You must be a female.

2. BR6 (Orpington): Every Mon, Tues & Wed at 8/8.30pm. Supporting a lovely gentleman into bed, double handed. You must be able to use a ceiling hoist.

3. Sevenoaks: Every Thurs & Friday at 8am to 8pm. Supporting a young man who is non verbal, wheelchair bound but can weight bear. You must have a driving licence.

Successful candidates would be consistent, kind and professional at all times.

Chime Care is a friendly domiciliary care company, supporting people to stay comfortable and independent in their own homes. Most of our work is made up of hourly visits to clients, where you might be helping with personal care, daily routines, or just providing a bit of company.

We offer work on a self-employed basis, so it’s flexible and can fit around your availability. If you like the idea of working independently, getting out and about, and building regular connections with people in their own homes, this could be a great fit. We also offer free training if experience is limited.

Please note that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship now or in the foreseeable future. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK. We are happy to be flexible and accommodate working hours (if limited).

The Role

Provide support with personal care including washing, dressing and mobility
Prepare simple, balanced meals suited to the client’s dietary needs
Administering medication
Carry out light household duties such as tidying, laundry and ensuring a safe living space
Observe and document any changes in health or wellbeing
Offer companionship and reassurance to support emotional wellbeing
Adhere to care plans and maintain accurate records
Respond appropriately to health concerns and apply first aid where required
Work alongside healthcare professionals, relatives and care coordinators to ensure joined-up support

What we're looking for

Previous experience within a care setting is required
Care certificate
Strong interpersonal skills with patience and empathy
A caring, respectful and professional approach
Good organisational ability when completing care documentation
Background in care, personal care or support roles (domiciliary care is desirable)
First aid training is desirable

Is this you?

Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS within the last 3 years
Experience in domiciliary or support work
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable)
Clear spoken and written English
Experience assisting clients with personal care
Dependable and punctual
Calm, considerate and respectful manner
Well-organised with a strong commitment to preserving client dignity and independence
