We are seeking a professional, personable, and highly organised Driver / Guide to join our growing team.

Role Overview

The Driver / Guide will be responsible for safely transporting guests while delivering engaging, informative, and memorable tours. The ideal candidate will combine excellent driving skills with outstanding customer service and a passion for British history, culture, and hospitality.

This role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to create exceptional guest experiences for high-net-worth individuals, families, corporate clients, and international visitors.

Key ResponsibilitiesDriving Duties

Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with all road traffic regulations.
Maintain a clean, presentable, and well-stocked vehicle at all times.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance requirements.
Plan efficient routes while adapting to traffic and operational changes.
Assist guests with luggage and mobility requirements where appropriate.

Guiding Duties

Deliver engaging commentary throughout tours and transfers.
Provide historical, cultural, and local insights tailored to guest interests.
Lead private tours across London and surrounding destinations.
Manage tour timings while ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable guest experience.
Answer guest questions confidently and accurately.
Recommend restaurants, attractions, shopping, and local experiences.

Customer Service

Provide a five-star level of service from first greeting to final farewell.
Build rapport with guests from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Anticipate guest needs and resolve issues professionally.
Represent Tailored Tours in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Maintain high standards of personal presentation and conduct.

Administrative Responsibilities

Complete tour reports and operational paperwork as required.
Communicate effectively with the operations team regarding schedules and guest requirements.
Assist with itinerary adjustments when necessary.
Support business development by identifying opportunities for enhanced guest experiences.

Essential Requirements

Full UK Driving Licence with a clean driving record.
Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Exceptional customer service experience.
Professional appearance and manner.
Good geographical knowledge of London and the South East.
Ability to work weekends, early mornings, evenings, and public holidays when required.
Comfortable using navigation systems, smartphones, and operational apps.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

Blue Badge Tourist Guide qualification (or working towards).
Previous experience as a tour guide, chauffeur, hospitality professional, or driver-guide.
Knowledge of British history, royal history, culture, architecture, and major attractions.
Additional language skills.
First Aid qualification.
PCV, PSV, or chauffeur driving experience.
