Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swimming Instructor to join our aquatic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and educational environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those passionate about sports coaching and teaching, looking to make a positive impact on our community’s swimming proficiency and safety.

You MUST be certified to teach children under the age of three and above.

Duties

Plan and deliver swimming lessons tailored to the needs of participants, from beginners to advanced swimmers
Ensure the safety of all swimmers by enforcing pool rules and monitoring activity at all times
Provide clear instructions and demonstrations to facilitate effective learning
Assess individual progress and provide constructive feedback to help swimmers improve their skills
Maintain a clean and organised pool area, including equipment and safety gear
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding participant progress (where applicable)
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including emergency procedures and first aid protocols
Promote a positive, inclusive environment that encourages confidence and enjoyment in swimming

Skills

Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching, preferably within aquatic environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and instruct learners of varying ages and abilities
Knowledge of swimming techniques, safety standards, and emergency response procedures
Organised with the ability to plan engaging lessons that cater to individual needs
Enthusiastic, patient, and approachable personality with a passion for teaching and sports coaching
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

This role provides an engaging environment for individuals committed to fostering aquatic skills while ensuring safety and enjoyment for all participants.

Pay: £20.00-£26.00 per hour
