Skilled Butcher Wanted – Join a Passionate Artisan Team (SE21, London)

Are you an experienced butcher with a passion for quality produce and traditional craftsmanship? We’re looking for a talented professional to join our friendly, close-knit team in a well-established English retail butcher’s shop.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position working with whole carcass meat, where your expertise will truly shine. You’ll be involved in the full process—from breaking down carcasses to preparing high-quality cuts ready for sale. Your skills, attention to detail, and pride in your craft will be essential.

What You’ll Be Doing

Breaking down and preparing whole carcasses (beef, lamb, pork)
Working with poultry and seasonal game
Producing retail-ready cuts to a high standard
Delivering excellent customer service and product knowledge
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the shop

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a butcher in an English retail environment
Confidence working with whole carcasses
Strong knife skills and product knowledge
A team player with a positive, professional attitude
Someone who takes pride in quality and presentation

Location

You’ll need to live locally or be able to easily commute to SE21, London.

Working Hours

44 hours per week
4½ days out of 6 (Tuesday–Sunday)
Closed Mondays – enjoy a guaranteed day off to start your week
