About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, confident and self-motivated Early Years Team Lead to join our holiday camp team, supporting children aged 3–5. As well as delivering creative, play-based sessions, you will be the lead staff member for your group – managing the register, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed, completing handovers with parents, and reporting directly to the Camp Manager.
This role is ideal for candidates with a Level 3 early years qualification and a proven ability to both lead activities independently and support a team under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Lead your group of Early Years children (ages 3–5), taking responsibility for their safety, wellbeing, and engagement throughout the day.
- Take ownership of the register for your group, ensuring accurate sign-in/sign-out using security codes.
- Complete daily parent handovers, sharing feedback about children’s experiences in a professional and supportive manner.
- Deliver fun, play-based activities that support early development and confidence.
- Supervise and support Activity Leaders/Assistants, ensuring consistency in safeguarding and behaviour management.
- Escalate safeguarding and behaviour concerns directly to the Camp Manager.
- Organise daily routines for your group (snacks, toileting, transitions).
- Ensure equipment and base rooms are safe, tidy, and welcoming.
- Bring initiative, organisation, and calm leadership to your group.
Requirements:
- Full and relevant Level 3 childcare/early years qualification (essential to meet Ofsted requirements).
- Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience working with early years children.
- Paediatric First Aid Training
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and paediatric first aid (or willingness to obtain).
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Able to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively.
- Available to work during school holiday periods.

- Week 3: Monday 3rd – Friday 7th August
- Week 4: Monday 10th – Friday 14th August

- Week 6: Monday 24th – Friday 28th August

Pay: Up to £126.00 per day
