Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and attentive Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of food orders from the kitchen to our guests, maintaining high standards of service and guest satisfaction. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for the hospitality industry and a keen interest in food service operations.

Duties

Safely and promptly deliver prepared dishes from the kitchen to guests' tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are maintained.
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting chefs and kitchen staff during busy periods.
Ensure all food items are correctly garnished, plated, and presented before delivery.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service stations and dining areas.
Collaborate effectively with servers, chefs, and other team members to provide seamless guest service.
Handle guest requests courteously and efficiently, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
Uphold food safety standards at all times, adhering to hygiene regulations and proper handling procedures.
Support with basic meal preparation or setup when required, contributing to overall restaurant operations.

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or food preparation is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Experience as a delivery driver or in roles such as hotel or barista work is advantageous.
Familiarity with food safety protocols and guest services enhances suitability for this role.
Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette, are important for interacting effectively with team members and guests.
Knowledge of food presentation, serving techniques, and basic culinary skills will be beneficial.
A genuine interest in the culinary arts and hospitality industry is highly valued.
