Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a skip lorry to deliver and collect skips across various locations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting waste management and recycling operations.

Duties

Safely operate a Class 2 HGV skip lorry, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
Deliver and collect skips from designated sites, ensuring timely and efficient service
Load and unload skips using appropriate equipment, adhering to health and safety standards
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before shifts to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness, reporting defects were necessary
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and mileage
Communicate effectively with clients and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly
Follow all legal requirements related to commercial driving and waste transportation

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with HGV Class 2 skip vehicles
Training for the right candidate availible
Valid UK driving licence with relevant categories (C licence) is essential
CPC and Tacho card is essential
Good knowledge of driver hours
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to commercial driving and waste management operations
Monday to Friday 0700-1700, overtime and Saturday work available
Competitive weekly pay
Guaranteed hours with consistent work
Must be reliable, punctual with a professional attitude
