3-WEEK (Temporary) Breakfast Summer Head Chef

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Breakfast/Lunch Chef to join our team for a 3-week summer assignment based at Trinity Laban in London. You will be responsible for the smooth delivery of hot and cold breakfast service as well as simple lunchtime offerings, working to our company’s high standards of safety, quality, and presentation.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role requiring someone who takes pride in producing great food and leading a team confidently during service.

Duration: 3 weeks
Schedule: 7 days a week, 6:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: On-site (location details provided upon application)
Start Date: 2nd August - 23rd August 2026

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver consistent, high-quality hot breakfast items including eggs (cooked to order), bacon, and sausages
Prepare and maintain a well-presented chilled breakfast station including cereals, yoghurts, and fresh fruit
Operate and oversee coffee and tea service throughout breakfast hours
Prepare simple, fresh lunchtime sandwiches to order or as pre-made selections
Manage and lead the kitchen team during service, ensuring smooth workflow and timely delivery
Ensure all food produced meets the company’s recipe standards, quality benchmarks, and presentation guidelines
Maintain full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations throughout service
Monitor food temperatures, storage, and handling in line with best practice
Support kitchen set-up and close-down procedures at the start and end of each shift

Requirements:

Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate (essential — must be current and valid)
Proven experience working in a professional catering or hospitality kitchen environment
Demonstrated ability to manage a small team during service
Strong understanding of food safety practices, allergen awareness, and HACCP principles
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy service environment
Reliable, punctual, and committed to the full 3-week assignment
Flexible and positive attitude towards shift work including weekends

Pay: £100.00-£115.50 per day
