Join Our Team as a Barista / Server

We’re looking for a confident and experienced Barista / Server to join our cafe team.

If you love great coffee, enjoy being part of a busy service, and take pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere, we’d love to hear from you.

At Humdingers, we’re known for our freshly baked bread, artisan pastries, excellent coffee, and a warm, community-focused feel across our London cafes.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, front-of-house role combining barista skills, customer service, and day-to-day responsibility for the cafe.

You’ll play a key part in keeping service running smoothly, maintaining high standards, and making sure every customer has a great experience.

Shifts are worked on a rolling rota basis, and weekend availability is essential. There will also be some sole working shifts, so confidence and a proactive approach are important.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and drinks consistently
Provide friendly, attentive customer service and build relationships with regulars
Support the smooth running of daily cafe operations
Open or close the cafe by companies sandards
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation
Help create a positive, welcoming environment for both customers and team

What We’re Looking For

Strong barista experience (essential)
Previous front-of-house experience (supervisory experience is a bonus)
Comfortable working independently when needed
Friendly, reliable, and proactive
Good communication and problem-solving skills
A genuine interest in coffee, food, and hospitality
