Job Title: Manual Machinist (Turner/Miller)

Hourly Rate: Rate of pay is dependant on experience and qualifications.

Hours: Basic of 40 hours + opportunity of overtime is provided and will be required on occasion.

About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Manual Machinist to join our growing Engineering business. This is an exciting prospect for you to be a part of a well-established and well organised team working on projects for our varied clientele base worldwide.

General Duties and Responsibilities

· Ensure full compliance with the companies Health and Safety procedures

· Understand and read technical drawings

· Select appropriate materials and tooling

· Manually machine components, as per drawing requirements

· Accurate completion of timesheets and inspections

· Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Working on the following machinery:

· Lathes

· Millers

· Vertical borers

· BoKo Millers

· 4 Axis CNC BoKo

· Gear cutting

· Slotting

· Line boring

Person Specification

· An excellent attitude to work is as important to us as much as the candidate's aptitude!

· Experience as a Miller / Turner – minimum 5 years

· Strong and technical background with the ability to work on self-initiative, be self-motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable

· Reliable and accurate with a strong attention to detail

· Strong co-ordination skills

· Strong analytical skills

· Strong communication skills

· Able to work well as part of a team
