Are you an Adult Mental Health Nurse, OT or Social Worker looking for a new opportunity to work in an organisation that will help you develop and achieve your goals to become the best you can be? If so, you're in luck.

Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust has an opportunity to join our Integrated Mental Health Team Mercian, based at Cherry Orchard in Tamworth.

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health practitioner who has a keen interest in working with this client group to provide a holistic overview and lead on the care and treatment of the person’s journey through to recovery. The successful candidate will provide leadership with the MDT, support junior colleagues in their development and facilitate student nurses in their training.

The Integrated Mental Health Team is an innovative secondary care community team that is guided by collective leadership, providing evidence-based psychological and medical interventions to patients with a wide range of complex mental health needs.

“Would consider a Band 5 to Band 6 development post”.

The usual hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. You will also be required to travel over large geographical area so you must have access to suitable transport.

You will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and contributing to; the formulation of the person’s needs and the development of a relevant plan based upon the person’s negotiated goals and relevant evidence based interventions.

You will, in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team, provide therapeutic interventions to support the person to meet their agreed goals and coordinate and/ or participate in the review of progress towards those goals, utilising recommended outcome measures, involving the service user and any identified carer throughout the clinical pathway.

The Integrated Mental Health teams work as part of a 'neighbourhood' offering place based provision of mental health services in partnership with other local organisations. Clinicians within the IMHT will offer interventions and treatments which are concordant with NICE guidelines, and allocation within the team will be based on the needs of the service user, matching clinician skills to service user needs.
