More about your role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Sports Manager to lead the swimming and sports programmes here at The Malden Centre which includes overseeing a thriving swim scheme of approximately 2,300 swimmers.

Key responsibilities:

Manage and develop the swim scheme of approximately 2,300 swimmers.
Oversee the delivery of school swimming programmes, working closely with local schools, teachers and swimming instructors.
Coordinate school swimming timetables, bookings, staffing and pool space.
Lead and support a team of swimming teachers and pool staff.
Ensure high standards of teaching, customer service and swimmer progression.
Manage class timetables, teacher allocation, assessments and registers.
Monitor attendance, retention, customer satisfaction and programme performance.
Recruit, train, coach and develop swimming teachers.
Ensure all activities meet relevant safeguarding, health and safety and operating standards.
Work closely with the Centre Manager to identify opportunities for growth.
Promote the swimming programme and increase participation and retention.
Drive our sports programmes and identify opportunities for growth.

To be successful in this role you will need to be commercially minded and have a real passion for the sector. Strong organisational and communication skills are a must have for this position, and candidates must have high levels of customer service.
