Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead kitchen operations, supervise staff, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Previous restaurant experience and leadership skills are highly valued, as is a commitment to excellence in hospitality.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient utilisation of resources
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster teamwork
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen
Develop new recipes and menu ideas in collaboration with management
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted service
Ensure all food production meets health and safety regulations at all times
Assist in training new team members on food preparation techniques and safety procedures
Serve dishes to customers when required, maintaining excellent customer service standards

Skills

Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant environment
Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Excellent culinary skills with an eye for presentation and detail
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage staff effectively
Experience in food preparation, restaurant service, and hospitality operations
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Ability to work flexibly across shifts including evenings and weekends as required
