Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and those receiving home care services. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by delivering high-quality care within a professional environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to promoting wellbeing, independence, and dignity among service users.

Duties

Assist with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
Support clients with mobility and movement, ensuring safety at all times
Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and adhere to organisational procedures
Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the wider care team to ensure personalised support
Support clients in engaging with social activities and maintaining their independence
Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both clients and staff

Qualifications

Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
Good command of English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Compassionate attitude towards vulnerable individuals and a commitment to delivering high standards of care
