Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Paint Sprayer / Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint and powder coatings to various products, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and experience in coating processes.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning or masking prior to coating application.
Operate spray guns, powder coating equipment, and other hand tools to apply finishes accurately.
Set up and calibrate equipment to ensure proper coating thickness and quality.
Perform quality checks on finished products, inspecting for colour consistency and surface defects.
Maintain equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting as necessary.
Follow safety protocols at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist with fabrication or assembly tasks as required during production cycles.
Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure efficient workflow.

Skills

Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools and hand tools proficiently.
Experience with fabrication, assembly, or construction painting is advantageous.
Knowledge of welding and the use of welding equipment is a plus.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control standards.
Good organisational skills and the ability to follow safety procedures diligently.
