Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Rigger/Steel Erector to join our on-site team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely installing and dismantling steel structures on-site, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to the highest safety standards. This role requires strong physical capability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Previous experience in construction and familiarity with rigging procedures are essential for this position.

Duties

Erecting steel frameworks and structural components according to technical drawings and specifications
Rigging and securing steel beams and sections using appropriate lifting equipment
Operating cranes, hoists, and other lifting devices safely during installation processes
Conducting safety checks on equipment and work areas before commencing tasks
Coordinating with team members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines
Assisting in the dismantling of structures upon project completion or as required
Maintaining clear communication with supervisors and colleagues throughout all phases of work
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements

Proven experience in construction, particularly in steel erection or rigging roles
Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, for clear understanding of instructions and safety procedures
Valid driving licence to facilitate transportation between sites as needed
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights
Knowledge of rigging techniques, safety protocols, and relevant industry standards
Ability to work flexibly in various weather conditions and adapt to changing project requirements
