Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional food and beverage assistant to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving drinks efficiently, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of food safety standards, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience and good time management are highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while working in a lively and dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and deliver prompt service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations at all times
Manage cash register operations, process payments accurately, and handle tips professionally
Monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking and ensure safety standards are upheld
Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Strong knowledge of hospitality principles and excellent serving skills
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
Ability to perform basic maths for handling transactions efficiently
Good organisational skills with effective time management to prioritise tasks during busy hours
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour suitable for engaging with diverse customers
