Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production, baking, and food safety, with experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or bakery environment. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating exquisite desserts and baked goods that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and contribute to the success of our establishment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and produce a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods in accordance with recipes and presentation standards
Assist in menu development by suggesting innovative pastry ideas and seasonal offerings
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food preparation and handling
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry section, including equipment and work surfaces
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during busy periods
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
Support other kitchen staff as needed, including food preparation and plating tasks

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production, baking, or pastry arts within a restaurant or bakery setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation of desserts and baked goods
Previous kitchen experience with a focus on culinary excellence and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are preferred but not essential for highly experienced candidates
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
