Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both residents and junior staff, ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented and followed.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Foster a warm and welcoming environment for residents, encouraging social interaction and engagement.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to senior care and leadership.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or senior care setting is essential.
Supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating the ability to lead a team effectively.
Strong knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them accurately.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for interacting with residents and their families.
Proficiency in IT systems related to resident documentation and care management is advantageous.
