Job Summary

Kinder City Nursery are seeking a fully qualified Level 3 practitoner with experience working in a very busy fast paced environment.

This is NOT A TERM TIME POSITION and the sucessful applicants will be expected to work shifts and in the holiday period.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a nurturing and stimulating environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your childcare skills while supporting children's development and learning. The ideal applicant will have relevant nursery experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for early childhood education.

Duties

Plan, organise, and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children
Support children's emotional, social, and physical development through personalised care
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent high standards of care and education
Monitor and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians
Lead small group activities, encouraging participation and fostering learning opportunities
Manage daily routines such as meal times, nappy changes, and outdoor play
Supervise children and ensure their safety at all times
Contribute in mentoring less experienced team members
Uphold policies related to safeguarding, behaviour management, and equal opportunities

Skills

Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting
Strong management and leadership abilities to guide a team effectively
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Organised with the ability to plan activities that support developmental milestones
Compassionate, patient, and attentive to individual children's needs
