Full job description

Job Overview

We are looking for a teacher confident in group teaching (groups of 3-6), teaching KS1 and KS2. This is a new school, this will be the first time the school has ever had music teachers. We are looking for a dedicated teacher as this school will grow in the next few years as it expands. This is not a side job, we are looing for someone committed to teaching for life.

Duties

Provide highly technical but fun group lessons
Prepare students for regular ensemble performances in school
Keep a close relatinship with parents
Work closely with our team members
Participate in regular performance management meetings

Skills

Experience teaching guitar to KS1 & KS2 age groups
Strong knowledge of chords, and various playing styles (e.g., rock & pop and classical)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning styles and needs
Passion for music education combined with patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
Ability to manage multiple lessons efficiently while maintaining high-quality instruction
Familiarity with music notation

Requirements

DBS check

Pay: £40.00-£50.00 per hour
