Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef / Breakfast Chef / Waiter to join our dynamic team. This versatile role involves supporting the kitchen with food preparation and cooking, as well as delivering excellent service to our guests. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for culinary arts, strong attention to food safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry while contributing to a welcoming dining experience.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and cooking of breakfast dishes and other menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared safely, hygienically, and in accordance with food safety regulations
Serve guests promptly and courteously, providing excellent customer service at all times
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas
Support in meal presentation, garnishing, and plating to meet quality standards
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Collaborate with team members to deliver a seamless dining experience for guests
Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and cleaning protocols

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards guests and colleagues
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, or shifts as required by the role
A genuine interest in culinary arts or hospitality is advantageous
