Full job description

Location: Shopping Centre, Gillingham

Frontier Facilities Management are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join our team at a shopping centre in Gillingham. This is a part-time position ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and well-presented environments. This role is based outdoors.

Training will be provided. The successful candidate will be required to start on 8th July 2026 for induction and initial training.

Job Details

Job Title: Caretaker
Job Type: Part-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 1:00pm
Reporting To: Operations Manager / Director
Salary: From £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Carry out routine cleaning and general maintenance tasks across the site
Ensure the overall cleanliness, safety, and tidiness of the shopping centre
Manage waste disposal and recycling in accordance with site procedures
Identify and report any major maintenance issues or health and safety concerns
Liaise with and oversee external contractors carrying out specialist repairs or maintenance
Respond promptly and effectively to requests for assistance and emergency situations
