We are now looking for a dynamic, organised, and creative Shop Manager to lead this exciting new venture.
The Role
This is a unique opportunity for someone with retail leadership experience and a passion for creative community spaces. As Shop Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the shop, lead and motivate a diverse team, drive sales performance, and help shape the ongoing look, feel, and experience of the space.
The ideal candidate will bring strong customer service skills, commercial awareness, visual merchandising creativity, and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for both customers and staff. Experience with online sales platforms is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the shop team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service
- Continually develop and adapt the space to ensure it remains welcoming, creative, and engaging
- Implement effective upselling strategies to maximise sales opportunities
- Oversee daily shop operations, including stock management and visual merchandising
- Handle cash transactions accurately and ensure secure cash handling procedures are followed
- Organise staff rotas, training schedules, and performance reviews
- Respond to customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high cleanliness standards
- Monitor donation levels and manage stock rotation effectively
- Analyse sales performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in retail management or a supervisory role within a retail environment
- Experience working with vintage and collectable items
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Demonstrable success in driving sales and upselling

- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to motivate, support, and develop team members
- Attention to detail and a hands-on approach
