Full job description

Overview:

You will be responsible for managing the Tool Room to provide both a reactive and pro-active roll supply to the Rolling Department. Responsible for planning and organising the Tool Room operations to ensure timely completion of work.

Responsible for the timely production of rolls for the Rolling Department.
Responsible for the creation of CAD drawings for roll design, overlays for roll and shape wire evaluation requirements - Production and Quality.
Carry out roll inspection and to check accuracy and finish.
Responsible for the development of the roll making process.
To ensure effective utilisation of Tool Room equipment to ensure rolls are made in a cost-effective and timely manner.
Monitor and control raw material stock.
To monitor and control consumable costs in the Tool Room.
Responsible in the supply of rolls to other group companies as required..
Attend daily and weekly meetings.
Ensure Health & Safety legislation and Company Policies are being complied with at all times.
Operate the machinery and hand tools as necessary.
Ensure the daily maintenance of the Tool Room Equipment.
Familiar with operation and programming of Mazak CNC lathes
Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Significant experience in the Tool Making manufacturing processes.
Time served engineering apprenticeship program.
Basic knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental Legislation.
Prepared to be hands-on with a flexible approach.
Strong work ethic and positive Team attitude
