Job Overview

Running Paper is an AI marking platform for schools, used in over 80 schools across the UK. We help teachers mark student work faster and more consistently, giving them back time and giving pupils better feedback.

We are a small startup based in Manchester, building something with real purpose in education. As we grow, this is a chance to join early, make a genuine impact and grow with the team. You can find out more about us at www.runningpaper.co.uk.

We are looking for a Customer Success Associate to be the main point of contact for the schools that use Running Paper. You will help schools get set up, answer their questions and make sure they are getting real value from the platform. It is a people focused role for someone who is a clear communicator and genuinely good with people.

What you will do

Be the first point of contact for the schools in your care, providing timely and helpful support
Guide new schools through onboarding and training so they get up and running with confidence
Check in regularly to make sure each school is getting the most from the platform
Resolve queries quickly, escalating more complex cases to the right person when needed
Bring school feedback back to the team to help shape and improve the product
Help build resources such as guides and FAQs that make Running Paper easier to use

As a small team, roles here are naturally varied. Alongside your core responsibilities you will get involved in other areas of the business, giving you the chance to learn new skills and grow well beyond a single job description.

What we are looking for

Excellent written and spoken English
Strong organisation and attention to detail
A proactive, empathetic approach to solving problems
Confidence picking up new software and digital tools
Someone who works well independently and as part of a small team

Experience matters far less to us than attitude. Any background in a customer facing role such as retail, hospitality, tutoring, education or support is a welcome bonus, but how you work with people matters most.

The details

Location: Manchester based, hybrid
Hours: full time, Monday to Friday
Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 per year
Holiday: 20 days paid holiday plus 8 bank holidays
Start date: mid August
