About Vermilion

Vermilion is one of Manchester's leading luxury hospitality and events venues, renowned for delivering exceptional weddings, corporate events, gala dinners, conferences and private celebrations. Combining stunning surroundings, award-winning cuisine and outstanding service, we create unforgettable experiences for thousands of guests every year.

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Event Manager to oversee the bookings, planning and delivery of events from initial enquiry through to successful execution. The successful candidate will be passionate about customer service, thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.

Schedule: Flexibility required including evenings, weekends and bank holiday

Key Responsibilities

Manage events from enquiry stage through to completion
Conduct venue show rounds and client consultations
Build strong relationships with wedding, corporate and private event clients
Create detailed event plans, timelines and function sheets
Coordinate with catering, operations, production and external suppliers
Ensure all event requirements are communicated effectively to internal teams
Manage event budgets and maximise revenue opportunities
Oversee event delivery on-site and act as the main point of contact for clients
Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally
Ensure compliance with health & safety and venue policies
Planning staffing and strategy for a successful event.
Conduct post-event reviews and gather client feedback
Support business development activities and repeat bookings
Maintain excellent standards of customer service throughout the client journey

Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience in event management, hospitality or venue operations
Experience managing weddings, corporate events or large-scale functions
Strong organisational and project management skills
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
Commercial awareness with a focus on revenue generation and profitability.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management systems
Full right to work in the UK
