The Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounts Assistant to join our growing finance team. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the accounts function, ensuring accurate processing of supplier invoices, maintaining financial records, and assisting with monthly finance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Process and accurately record supplier invoices on the system
Regularly reconcile supplier accounts to ensure balances match and follow up on any discrepancies or missing invoices
Verify supplier bank details in accordance with company security procedures and fraud prevention controls
Save, rename and maintain invoice records accurately
Liaise with suppliers regarding invoices, statements, and payment queries promptly and professionally
Assist with month-end finance activities as required

Essential Skills:

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (support will be given)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Skills:

Basic understanding of accounting principles
Previous experience in data entry, administration, or maintaining accurate records
Experience working within an account’s or finance environment

Hours and Benefits:

Monday to Friday 8.30-5
23 days holiday plus bank holidays
