Overview
*Driving Essential*

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mentor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and/or mentoring and a commitment to fostering the growth and development of our learners. As a Mentor, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting children through their educational journey, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Duties

Provide one-to-one mentoring to children/young adults, focusing on their individual learning needs and goals.
Assist with education activities, ensuring that sessions are engaging and age-appropriate.
Support children in developing essential skills such as communication, problem-solving, and social interaction.
Offer if appropriate, tutoring in subjects such as Maths/English and provide assistance with physical education activities.
Conduct proofreading of educational materials to ensure clarity and accuracy.
Collaborate with parents and educators to create tailored learning plans for each child.
Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all children under your care.

Requirements

Proven experience in mentoring or teaching or/and able to evidence previous exprience and willingness to want to help others
Strong skills in Maths and the ability to teach these concepts effectively.
Experience in education is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with children and their families.
Competent in using Microsoft systems and strong admin skills.
A background in physical education is advantageous but not essential.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children learn and grow.
Business insurance (Driving the children to and from sessions).

Highly desirable

Teaching assistant qualification level 3 or above
