Overview
We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable Bar & Waiting Staff to join our lively hospitality team for matchdays and events at Colchester United Football Club. As a key part of the front-of-house team, you’ll deliver excellent customer service both behind the bar and on the floor, helping to create a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests. This role suits someone with great time management, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in line with standard recipes and customer preferences
Take accurate food and drink orders, deliver items promptly, and check back to ensure guest satisfaction
Keep the bar, service areas and dining spaces clean, organised and fully stocked
Provide friendly, efficient service, responding to customer needs in a professional manner
Assist with stock control and replenishment as required
Follow food safety procedures and responsible alcohol service guidelines
Engage positively with customers to create a welcoming environment and encourage repeat visits
Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service during busy periods

Requirements

Previous bar, waiting, or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Understanding of food safety practices is beneficial
A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to support across all front-of-house duties
