Full job description

Tims Dairy is a privately owned family company specialising in making high quality yogurt and cultured cream products for the retail, food service, and ingredients sectors. We are currently recruiting for new team members to facilitate our exciting growth plans.

We are seeking a hardworking and conscientious person to help maintain and ensures a safe and compliant workplace by developing policies, conducting risk assessments, training employees, and monitoring safety practices.

This role will involve:

· Conduct Risk Assessments to identify potential hazards and implement safety measures, safe working practices.

· Creating, updating and enforcing safety policies to maintain a safe working environment

· Training staff on health and safety practices and procedures.

· Coordinating accident prevention and health and safety measures withing the orgonisation. Monitor and investigate and accidents, incidents or near misses reported.

· Monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations and conducting regular inspections.

· Problem solving, resolve issues and identify ways of overcoming barriers that could potentially become a health and safety risk.

· Investigating H&S complaints evaluate and investigate any complaints.

· Writing reports and tracking incidents, keep up to date logs of incidents, accidents, near misses and H&S complaints, compiling reports if necessary.

· H& S safety meetings, plan, coordinate and chair meetings.

· Managing of contractors on site, including induction and RAMS prior to work commencing.

Emergency preparedness, ensure that the site is prepared in case of an emergency.

Skills & Experience Required

· Sound knowledge of the prevailing health and safety regulations.

· Qualification in health and safety.

· Experience in auditing.

· Good Communication skills.

· Proactive thinking.

· Attention to detail.

· Strong organisational skills.

· Report writing skills.

· Computer literate.

Location: Denham Lane, Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire
Transport: Due to our semi-rural location, personal means of transport will be essential
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 5.00 pm 40 hours per week (with one hour lunch break)

Salary: We offer a starting rate of £13.21 per hour (depending on experiance)
