Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and hygienic handling of laundry within our establishment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the overall cleanliness and presentation standards of our facility. Previous hotel experience is considered advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to maintaining high standards of service.

Responsibilities

Collect, sort, and process laundry items in accordance with established procedures
Operate laundry machinery such as washers, dryers, and pressing equipment safely and efficiently
Ensure all linen, towels, and uniforms are cleaned to the highest standard before returning them to their designated areas
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area at all times
Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report shortages or issues promptly
Adhere to health and safety regulations to prevent accidents or contamination
Assist with other housekeeping duties as required to support overall operational efficiency

Experience

Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory
Familiarity with laundry equipment and procedures is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities
