Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of building types. This role requires physical endurance, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of roofing techniques and safety procedures. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the construction industry while contributing to high-quality projects.

Responsibilities

Install new roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques in accordance with project specifications.
Repair and maintain existing roofs, identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently.
Utilise welding, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and other construction skills as required for specialised roofing projects.
Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, tiles, metal sheets, and other roofing components.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Maintain a clean and organised work site throughout each project phase.

Skills

Proven experience in roofing installation and repair.
Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
Strong background in construction-related disciplines such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or general building work is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Knowledge of safety protocols related to working at heights and around construction sites.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
