Full job description

Electrician - Solar PV & Electrical Installations

We're looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated Electrician to join our expanding team on a full-time self-employed basis.

With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth in the renewable energy sector, we can offer consistent, long-term work for the right person. You'll primarily be installing Solar PV systems on domestic properties, alongside a variety of electrical installation work including battery storage, consumer units and EV chargers.

Your Responsibilities

Installation of Solar PV systems (AC & DC).
Electrical installation, testing, inspection and fault finding.
Installation of battery storage systems (where applicable) and EV chargers.
Consumer unit upgrades and associated electrical works.
Ensuring all work complies with current BS7671 regulations and health & safety requirements.
Completing certification and installation documentation.
Delivering high workmanship standards.
Working efficiently both independently and alongside installation teams.
Providing excellent customer service in clients homes.

Essential Requirements

NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
AM2 qualification.
ECS or CSCS Card.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Own van and a full set of tools.
Ability to work safely at height.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail and a professional attitude.
Previous solar PV installation experience.

Desirable

Solar PV-specific qualifications or certificates.
Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent).
Experience with battery storage and EV charger installations.
