Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Waitress and Barista to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages and food, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a memorable experience, possess strong organisational skills, and have a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Take orders from customers accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialised coffee drinks
Serve food items in accordance with health and safety standards
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including counters, tables, and equipment
Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
Provide friendly assistance to customers, answering questions about menu items
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Follow food safety procedures and maintain hygiene standards at all times
Assist in setting up and clearing tables to ensure a tidy environment

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Barista or in serving roles is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and bill calculations
Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Organised with an eye for detail to ensure high standards of service are maintained
