Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth handling, storage, and dispatch of goods within our warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in materials handling, warehouse management systems, and logistics operations. The position suitable for individuals with a keen eye for accuracy and safety in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries using appropriate equipment.
Picking and packing orders accurately to meet customer specifications
Stocking shelves and maintaining organised storage areas to optimise space utilisation
Operating forklift trucks and other mechanical equipment safely and effectively - subject to training paid for by the Company.
Managing shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are correctly documented within the warehouse management system
Conducting quality control checks to verify the integrity of products before dispatch
Assisting with stock rotation and inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels
Ensuring health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times during daily operations

Experience

Previous experience working within a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided
Experience with materials handling, picking & packing, and stock management is desirable
Mechanical knowledge or experience operating forklifts is a plus, subject to certification requirements
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for quality control and inventory accuracy

Pay: £22,600.00-£27,000.00 per year
