-CPCS BLUE CARD (NVQ LEVEL 2) FOR APPOINTED PERSON WITH GOOD EXPERIENCE.

- THE JOB IS ON A POWER STATTION.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Appointed Person to oversee safety and operational procedures within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and relevant electrical experience. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining operational efficiency, and supporting the overall safety culture of the organisation. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment where safety and professionalism are paramount.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate lifting operations, ensuring all activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
Conduct risk assessments prior to lifting or moving heavy loads to prevent accidents or injuries.
Maintain accurate records of lifting activities, inspections, and safety checks.
Collaborate with team members to plan and execute safe lifting procedures during daily operations.
Monitor equipment condition and report any faults or maintenance needs promptly.
Assist with electrical tasks as required, utilising electrical experience to support maintenance and operational activities.
Ensure all lifting equipment is inspected regularly and certified according to legal requirements.
Promote a safety-first culture by providing guidance and training to staff on safe lifting practices.
Support emergency response procedures and participate in safety meetings.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Appointed Person or similar role within an industrial or construction environment.
Strong electrical experience is highly desirable, with the ability to assist in electrical maintenance or troubleshooting tasks.
Relevant qualifications such as a recognised lifting operations certification (e.g., CPCS or equivalent).
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Good communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and management.
Ability to work safely under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of health and safety legislation related to lifting operations and electrical work.
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high safety standards at all times.
