Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader-Care to oversee and coordinate care services within a care home environment. The successful candidate will lead a team of care professionals, ensuring the delivery of high quality senior care that meets individual needs and organisational standards. This role offers an opportunity to utilise leadership skills in a compassionate setting, promoting dignity and independence for residents. The position is paid and requires a proactive approach to supervising daily operations while maintaining excellent communication with residents, families, and staff.

Duties

Lead and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring the delivery of personalised care plans tailored to each resident's requirements
Oversee daily care activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and organisational policies
Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and families
Ensure effective communication between team members, residents, and external agencies to facilitate seamless care delivery
Monitor staff performance, provide training, support professional development, and promote a positive team environment
Organise rotas and allocate resources efficiently to meet the needs of residents
Support residents with their daily routines, promoting independence whilst respecting their dignity
Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care and staff activities using IT systems

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a care home or senior care setting
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an empathetic approach towards residents and colleagues
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents or supplies as required
Knowledge of care plans, health & safety protocols, and relevant legislation governing senior care services
Competent IT skills for managing documentation and communication systems
Previous experience working in a care home environment is essential; additional qualifications in health or social care are advantageous

Pay: £14.00 per hour
