Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker/Maintenance to join our team at a residential development in Salford. The development consists of two apartment blocks and a separate leisure centre. The Caretaker will be responsible for assisting the site manager by maintaining the functionality of the property, carrying out repairs and maintenance, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for residents.

Responsibilities

- Minor Repairs: Handle minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, and repairing basic fixtures around the communal areas within the development.

- Property Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to assess the condition of facilities, equipment, and common areas. Address any maintenance issues promptly and maintain accurate records of inspections.

- Grounds Maintenance: Oversee landscaping activities and coordinate with external contractors for landscaping services.

- Cleaning: Perform cleaning duties in common areas, including hallways, lobbies, and recreational facilities. Supervise cleaning staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained.

- Inventory Management: Coordinate with suppliers for cleaning materials, tools, and equipment. Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.

- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on the property. Implement safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications:

- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.

- Previous experience in caretaking or maintenance roles is preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

- Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, staff, and external vendors.

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to property maintenance.

- Strong organizational skills for managing site supplies and equipment.

Pay: Up to £25,900.00 per year
