Full job description

Job Overview

The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the organisation operates in full compliance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance programs, helping to promote ethical practices, client safety, and regulatory adherence across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance Program Management

Develop, implement, and maintain the organisation’s compliance framework.
Monitor and interpret relevant healthcare laws, regulations, and standards.
Ensure policies and procedures are up-to-date and aligned with regulatory requirements.

Regulatory Compliance

Oversee compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., client safety, data protection, clinical governance).
Act as the point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors.
Prepare and submit required compliance reports and documentation.

Auditing & Monitoring

Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments.
Identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
Track and report on compliance metrics and performance indicators.

Training & Awareness

Develop and deliver compliance training programs for staff.
Promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior across the organisation.
Provide guidance to employees on regulatory and policy requirements.

Incident Management

Investigate compliance breaches, complaints, and incidents.
Maintain records of investigations and outcomes.
Implement corrective and preventive actions.

Documentation & Record Keeping

Maintain accurate and organised compliance records.
Ensure proper documentation for inspections and audits.
Support data protection and confidentiality requirements.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance frameworks
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and organisational ability
Effective communication and management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Integrity and commitment to ethical standards

Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience in a compliance, regulatory, or governance role (preferably in healthcare)
Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards and data protection laws
Professional certification in compliance (desirable but not essential)

Working Conditions

Office-based with potential for hybrid working
May require occasional travel for audits or site visits
Standard business hours with flexibility as required
