About the Role
As a Driver with Chauffeur Duties, you will play an important role in supporting the transport and logistics requirements of the business. You'll be responsible for transporting customers, visitors, and employees between sites while also supporting the movement of stock, equipment, and materials across the operation.
This role requires a professional and customer-focused approach, strong organisational skills, and the flexibility to respond to changing business priorities. You'll act as an ambassador for Torque, ensuring every journey is safe, efficient, and delivered to the highest standards.
What you will do:
- Safely transport customers, visitors, and employees between company sites and external locations using a range of vehicles, including cars, minibuses, and vans (manual and automatic)
- Provide a professional, courteous, and customer-focused chauffeur service, ensuring a positive experience for all passengers
- Manage transport bookings effectively and proactively organise your workload to meet business requirements
- Move stock, equipment, and materials between sites in line with operational priorities
- Support ad-hoc logistics tasks, including urgent or time-sensitive deliveries
- Load, unload, and secure goods safely, ensuring compliance with company procedures and Health & Safety requirements
- Conduct daily vehicle checks, including fuel levels, tyres, cleanliness, and general vehicle condition, reporting or resolving issues promptly
- Complete all required documentation and electronic records accurately and within agreed timescales
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, mileage, and deliveries where required
- Ensure compliance with all road traffic legislation, company policies, and safe driving standards
- Plan routes effectively to maximise efficiency and meet schedules
- Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation
- Communicate effectively with customers, passengers, and colleagues to ensure a seamless service
- Support the wider operations team with general transport and logistics-related activities as required
- Promote Torque's values, behaviours, and commitment to excellent customer service
What We're Looking For:
- Full UK Category B Driving Licence
- Experience of driving a range of vehicles, including cars, minibuses, and vans
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements and safe working practices
- Awareness of EU Drivers' Hours Regulations and the Road Transport Working Time Directive
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible approach to working hours, including varying start and finish times
Physical Requirements:
This role includes physical activity and may involve:
- Regular access and egress from a variety of vehicles
- Securing load
- Lifting and manual handling of cartons and similar items
- Moving items between vehicles and delivery or collection points

Shift Pattern:
- Core hours are 40 hours per week on any 5 over 7 days between the hours of 04:00-18:00, with a degree of flexibility required to meet the demands of the business.
All applicants must provide correct right to work documentation.
Pay: £13.45 per hour

- Leeds LS12 4JH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
